NEW YORK, NY, March 01, 2013 (Press-News.org) Education Through Music (ETM) partners with inner-city schools to provide all students with music as a core subject, and to create school communities that value the arts. ETM's mission is to promote the use of music in schools as a means of enhancing students' academic performance and general development. The ETM model currently serves 14,000 students in 28 inner-city schools in New York City, and our model reaches another 8,000 children through the work of our licensed affiliate organizations in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.

The 2013 ETM Gala will honor Richard Bernstein, the Vice Chairman of commercial real estate firm Cassidy Turley, and a passionate advocate for music in schools.
Christine Baranski, Juilliard-trained actress and star of CBS' "The Good Wife," will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
The 2013 ETM Gala will feature performances from ETM partner school students, Grammy-award winning violinist Joshua Bell, and additional entertainment.
