Through Remo, Inc.'s Recreational Music Partnership Program support Resounding Joy Recreational Music Center and Clinic will now have the ability to reach more of their local community to provide music and wellness activities. This synergy between two like-minded organizations is a wonderful example of how a for-profit and a nonprofit can help create and sustain healthy communities.

In 1997 Remo, Inc. created the Remo Recreational Music Center (RMC). It has become the heartbeat of the community with classes, clinics, concerts and free drum circles for everyone and a model for others who have wanted to serve their communities through Recreational Music Making. It has also served as the inspiration for the Recreational Music Partnership Program.
John Fitzgerald, Manager of the Recreational Music Department at Remo Inc., notes that Music-making has always been central to well-being of every kind in human communities. The need for more opportunities to engage in active music-making is as important now as it has ever been. We feel that the Resounding Joy Recreational Music Center & Clinic will be a wonderful and vital community resource for years to come.
Remo, Inc. believes that helping to improve the human condition through music and rhythm is core to their mission. The company, founded in 1957 by Remo Belli, has contributed and supported, and in some cases developed, many programs, events that do just that. They have been at the forefront of the Recreational Music Making movement which advocates the use of music for all. Founded by Barbara Reuer, PhD in 2004, Resounding Joy Inc., is a nonprofit organization that promotes social, emotional, physical and spiritual well being through music.
