2013-03-07
TULSA, OK, March 07, 2013 (Press-News.org) "Alex, reading the weekly business magazines, I have followed your meteoric rise. There have been numerous stories of you sharing your fortune on worthy projects, helping others fulfill their dreams. What if I signed over my property for collateral and agreed to a fair interest rate--could you fund the project? Would you fund it, please? I've dreamed since high school of being a doctor. With only one more month of residency, I'll be able to practice in my own clinic as soon as they build it. Alex, please order me another drink. While I'm gone to the restroom, you men can discuss my offer." Thus Dr. Becky Fry, the attractive woman he just met that morning, introduces her project to a stunned Alex Cord in "Hearts Can Change in Time" by new author, Ron Hanlon.

Dr. Becky Fry is only one of several women in the life of Alex Cord, a driven and ambitious young man well on his way to becoming the youngest and most successful oil mogul in the South. After inheriting an oil company from his grandfather, Alex, often described as a woman-magnet, has tasked himself with building the business up using hydraulic fracturing a new procedure for the petroleum industry at that time. All the while meeting and bedding a number of more than willing female partners. However, it is Dorothy who Alex really loves, but loses in tragic circumstances.

One reviewer comments on "Hearts Can Change in Time", "You will all be thrilled with the variety of the novel characters, realistic situations that just could be, and how the twists 'n turns of the story all wrap into an amazing surprise ending, keeping you hungry for more." Another says, "This story definitely holds your interest, and has all kinds of characters and a strange twist at the end. It's a good read."

Raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ron Hanlon learned about the petroleum business from his grandfather, and aviation with his father and brother. A long-term marriage taught him the difference between love and lovemaking. As a Viet Nam veteran, he saw death, felt fear and experienced heroism first hand. Hanlon calls upon life experience and hobbies of flying, sailing and ocean cruising to develop the atmosphere encountered in the story of Alex Cord in "Hearts Can Change in Time".
