Drew Porcello Joins MMI Public Relations As Director Of Strategy

Local PR Firm Hires Director Of Strategy To Focus On Client Interaction In Charlotte And Surrounding Areas

CHARLOTTE, NC, March 07, 2013 (Press-News.org) Robert Buhler, president of MMI Public Relations (http://www.mmipublicrelations.com), a full-service public relations firm based in the Triangle region of North Carolina, has announced that Drew Porcello has joined the firm as its director of strategy. Based in Charlotte, Porcello will utilize his strong PR background as he interacts with area business leaders and expands the reach of MMI into the Charlotte area.

Porcello brings more than seven years of high-level public relations experience to MMI. He has worked previously at top PR firms, where he has been an invaluable team member, learning and offering expertise in PR strategy, media relations, content creation, social media tactics, video, crisis management and media training, among other skills. A resident of Charlotte for the past 9 years, Porcello has a firm grasp of the needs of the market and sound understanding of the area practices.

He is a Miller Heiman alumnus, and member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Charlotte chapter, as well as the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. He is an avid participant of the American Marketing Association, the Business Marketing Association and the International Association of Business Communicators.

Porcello received his bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, and his MBA from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. Originally from Allegany, N.Y., he resides in Charlotte.
