This light weight, high arc rated flame resistant cotton fabric is made at the SSM Industries Spring City, Tennessee plant, and achieves an Arc Thermal Protection Value (ATPV) of 12 cal/cm2 @ 6.25 osy. in a single layer. This fabric is created with the most comfortable knit construction and is available in brilliant color options. This flame resistant, cotton fabric and garment is now available through NSA and available in T-shirt and Henley styles. Electrical and Utility workers are now taking notice of this new single-layer option.
The first effort to promote the partnership is at the 2013 IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop to be held in Dallas, Texas, March 12-14, 2013.
