Cincinnati Dentist Hosts Sleep Apnea Open House

2013-03-09
MILFORD, OH, March 09, 2013 (Press-News.org) Dr. Timothy Kitzmiller, Dentist in Cincinnati, OH, is excited to offer a sleep apnea and snoring open house to current or future patients. The open house will offer screening, exams and public informational displays. The open house will be held on two dates: Thursday March 7th from 4PM-7PM and Monday, March 11th, from 4PM-7PM as well. Along with sleep apnea and snoring screenings and exams, the open house will also provide refreshments and informational material. There will also be a raffle with gifts to give away.

"There are a lot of people who suffer from sleep apnea or snoring and don't know it. I am excited we are able to offer this service to the public so they can figure out what is stopping them from getting a good night's sleep, then properly treat it. Once that happens, patients enjoy more healthful sleeping and a better quality of life," said Dr. Kitzmiller, sleep apnea dentist in Cincinnati.

Dental sleep medicine is a relatively new area of practice that partners physicians and dentists in the diagnosis and treatment of Sleep Disordered Breathing, or SDB. Though snoring can seem merely annoying and physically harmless, it is often an indication of a more serious condition called Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Dr. Kitzmiller and his staff hope this open house will bring awareness to the different types of SDB and available treatment.
