March 13, 2013 (Press-News.org) The game of bingo has always been popular in the United Kingdom, which has been the birthplace of many famous land based bingo brands over past years, such as Mecca Bingo and Gala Bingo, to name just a couple.
However, in 2007, smoking within public places became illegal in England and Wales, as a result of a new law passed in parliament back in 2004. Since then, UK bingo clubs have reported large drops in visit numbers, and have cited the smoking ban as the main result. However, at around the same time, the internet saw huge technological advancements in broadband technologies, with many bingo brands creeping up online. The online bingo rooms saw large growth almost immediately, at the same time the land based bingo halls saw drops, so it stands to reason that many smokers were opting to stay at home and play bingo instead.
With that in mind, a UK webmaster, who already had two years' experience in the gaming industry, decided to create a new online bingo bonus site, which became known as BingoBonusesOnline.com, which are essentially bingo bonuses on the internet!
The creators have decided to create an innovative competition, offering an iPad mini as a prize, with dual intentions of building a brand and also increasing visit numbers too.
Ryan Sheader, the owner of the site, had this to say "I know first-hand how competitive the gaming industry is, and bingo especially! I wanted to really get the brand noticed, and give people a reason to choose our site over another, so I decided to launch a giveaway, with a chance to win an iPad mini. It's relatively simple actually, all they have to do is subscribe to our email newsletter, and we'll email them a random number. They then follow us on Twitter and tweet us this number. This validates the email, and links a twitter account to the email too. We then draw the competition at 500 validated entries. This is great for us, as it gets people visiting our site, and helps build up our Twitter followers, and email database, so it's great all round really. I am looking forward to drawing the winner though, and giving away this excellent prize!"
It's always great to see online brands providing visitors with incentives to opt for them over another, it remains to be seen if this is a trend that will catch on across the gaming space!
