He is not a happily ever after man, and the secrets of his past could destroy the fragile trust Angela already has in men after her own history.

Angela's Salvation is a story about overcoming incredible odds and having the opportunity to heal from the past trauma's in life. Hughes takes her vast knowledge of the music industry and spins it into a romance that tugs at the heart strings. The two main characters have both suffered in their lives, and the journey is as much about healing those past pains as it is a love story with a strong dramatic background.

Set in Las Vegas, Nevada in the current year, Angela's Salvation offers readers a heartwarming insight into the world of a couple trying to deal with their past sexual abuse. The two main characters, Angela Wilkerson and Nolan Fitzgerald, have different stations in life, and the contrast of how they deal with their situations is as interesting as the romantic interest . There are past recollections from the characters in the novel that may bother individuals who have suffered sexual abuse, and it should be noted that nothing is sugar coated.

Raised in Alabama, Michelle Hughes spent ten years as a vocalist and appeared on a satellite televised talent showcase, as well as performed in various clubs in the United States. She's lived and performed in Nashville, and claims that it was this situation that gave her the background needed to make the music industry come alive for readers. Hughes states that she wrote this novel as a way of dealing with her own issues from childhood, and the characters are like old friends. Married, with five children, Hughes wanted to give readers a story that would help those that had suffered abusive relationships understand that there was hope for a happily ever . While Hughes claims the book is fiction, she also states that many of the experiences were included from her own life.
