2013-03-15
SARASOTA, FL, March 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) Joe Spinella, tenor and magician, introduces country singer, Ginnette Ward, as the opening act for illusionAria in Venice, Florida. Ginnette Ward, won the 2008 Brevard Idol title when she was only 15. She writes and composes her own music and has recorded 3 songs to date. In addition to writing the lyrics and performing the lead vocals, she also sang her own back-up vocals and harmonies.

illusionAria stars Joseph Spinella, tenor and magician, singing the most beloved Italian songs while simultaneously astounding audiences with his wizardry on stage. The Gold Statue hand-balancing duo from Cirque du Soleil perform gravity-defying feats of strength; and traditional dance sets round out the evening.

The Venice Gondolier Sun describes the show as, "a magical journey of voice, illusion and performing arts. See a colorful blizzard, disappearing ladies, bursts of colorful flowers and more. Hear a voice that has been compared to Pavarotti and others of that stature."

This production, fully supported by colorful and varied costumes, set and extensive lighting and stage effects, is appropriate for all cultures and all ages. Already producers and theater booking agents are calling and wanting to book the show in Las Vegas. Groups and organizations are purchasing tickets and coming in to see the show by the busloads.

illusionAria has 5 more performances until March 17, 2013 at 1687 US Highway 41 Bypass S. in Venice, Florida - next to Bonefish Grill. Tickets for the show are $21.80, $32.70 and $43.60 with tax. Part of the proceeds goes to Venice Circus Arts Foundation, a nonprofit organization helping to preserve the historic Venice Circus Arena. Call 941-275-4150 for show information. The shows start at 7:30 pm; and matinees start at 1:30 pm. Tickets can be ordered online by choosing a date at http://illusionaria.ticketleap.com/

"My goal is for people leave the show feeling better than they did when they first came in," affirms Spinella. "The show is light-hearted and uplifting, although it does have a few dramatic moments. But the music is so beautiful. The songs are some of the most frequently requested songs whenever I perform concerts. And I'll be introducing 'Trust in Me,' my newest single, live for audiences. Adding the magic to all that great music just makes the entire show unforgettable."

Highlights from the show can be viewed on Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9lF82NWPjA .

Joseph Spinella is a classically trained tenor soloist and performer, offering a diversified repertoire including classical crossover, musical theater, light jazz and romantic songs. He is a tenor of the 21st Century and is best known for his charismatic live performances. He sings in six languages and his repertoire includes many songs in Italian, Spanish, English, and French.

Spinella was awarded a scholarship to Manhattan School of Music in New York City. A few years ago, he was discovered by Paul Nadler, one of the Metropolitan Opera conductors and was invited to work with Metropolitan Opera coaches in NYC. This began his regular sessions with Joan Dorneman, who was also Luciano Pavarotti's vocal coach for thirty years.

His current album, Spinella Tenor of Illusions, is available on both Amazon.com and iTunes and has been featured on various radio stations in the U.S. The album features poperatic arias and traditional music that exemplifies classic Neapolitan songs. Backed by the Emmy-award winning, Macedonia Radio Symphony Orchestra, this all-Italian album contains 13 songs and displays Spinella's mastery of bell'arte del canto.
