Tears of Crimson Books shelves the Forbidden Desires Series

Tears of Crimson, LLC CEO Michelle Hughes made the decision today to remove all books from the Forbidden Desires Series from bookstores.

ROCKFORD, AL, March 17, 2013

CEO of Tears of Crimson, LLC Michelle Hughes, made the announcement today that all books in the Forbidden Desires series, including 10 Nights, Beyond 10 Nights and the debut book of 10 Nights Past, which was set to be released in June of 2013, will now be out of circulation. Royalty fee's with the previous co-author of the titles were brought to a standstill in negotiation, this decision was concluded from those failed negotiations.

Hughes states that all other works released by Tears of Crimson will still be available to the general public and maintains that she will continue to run the company that she created in 2009. All projects that link Karl Jones and Michelle Hughes have or will be terminated. Hughes stated that the legal costs of fighting this dispute across two countries was not worth the expenses that would have been incurred had she moved forward in litigation.

Hughes related that she regretted bringing the news to fans of the series that the last book would not be made available, but the potential legal fees for moving forward just couldn't be ignored. Fans of Hughes's work will be given the opportunity to enjoy a new erotic series that is currently being developed, and she hopes that this will make up for loss of the previous titles. Hughes reported that she will no longer work with co-authors on projects due to this experience and advised other authors to seek legal representation prior to contracting partners for any project.

As of release of this press statement all agreements between Hughes and Jones are revoked and their working relationship dissolved. Any release of material concerning the Forbidden Desires Series, including 10 Nights, Beyond 10 Nights or use of characters from said series in any capacity will be considered copyright infringement or piracy and punishable by law.
