The Government Contracting Institute Presents, "Navigating the GSA Schedule System" Class in Baltimore

GSA Schedules are used by the Federal Government to purchase over $40 billion in services and goods every year

BALTIMORE, MD, March 17, 2013 (Press-News.org) One of the most widely used contract vehicles in the federal market is the GSA Schedule, and on March 20, 2013, the Government Contracting Institute in conjunction with bwtech@UMBC is presenting a full day class "Navigating the GSA Schedule System." This class demystifies the GSA Schedule application and negotiation process and details the successful marketing of a GSA Schedule.

Specific topics covered in the course include an overview of the GSA Schedule, scope of services and products covered, the importance of the vehicle, how to identify competitors on the schedule and their pricing, identifying agencies using the schedule to purchase services and products, pricing strategies, and marketing. This course will expedite any company's entrance into the world of GSA Schedules.

Expert instructors Dismas Locaria, partner, Venable LLP, and Hope A. Lane, CPA, Aronson LLC's Government Contract Consulting Practice, provide real-world focus on the practical elements of a successful GSA Schedule contract application, negotiation and pricing strategies.

Dismas Locaria has represented clients before various Federal Agencies, including the Department of Defense, General Services Administration, Department of Homeland Security, Small Business Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, and others. He has experience in assisting clients with GSA Federal Supply Schedule matters, in particular advising
clients how to best structure proposals to avoid price reduction clause (PRC) issues.

Hope Lane has over 20 years of broad-based experience in the government contracting arena. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is responsible for assisting clients in all areas of government contract-related financial compliance and contract administration.
