B & D Dental Excellence Adds CEREC Technology to Provide Crowns in One Visit
2013-03-20
WEST NYACK, NY, March 20, 2013 (Press-News.org) Dr. Mark Dunayer is proud to announce that his Rockland County, NY dental office, B&D Dental Excellence, is now using CEREC technology to provide single-visit tooth restorations.

Short for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, CEREC is a valuable modern dental tool which makes crown creation and placement much easier and more efficient. According to Dr. Dunayer, it also helps promote patient comfort, which is a big priority for his dental practice.

"Single-visit tooth restorations offer convenience to patients; however, CEREC technology also offers other big benefits," he said. "Because it's so efficient, CEREC requires fewer injections and less drilling. This provides a more relaxed, comfortable experience for our patients, who instantly see the difference between CEREC crown development and placement versus traditional techniques."

In the past, patients were forced to make multiple trips to the dentist for common tooth restoration treatments requiring crowns. Now, everything happens in a single visit according to a basic three-step process.

"First, we examine the tooth and prepare it by removing decay," Dr. Dunayer said. "Then, we take a three-dimensional picture of the tooth, which we use to create the porcelain crown. Finally, we use the CEREC machine to design and create the crown, which we then use to replace the damaged tooth. Patients no longer have to wait days for their lab-fabricated crowns to arrive. With CEREC, everything happens in our office in one single visit."

Besides offering convenience and comfort, CEREC also provides beautiful results, which blend in nicely with adjacent teeth. Instead of unattractive silver materials which attract attention for negative reasons, CEREC utilizes durable, high-quality ceramic porcelain materials, which look almost identical to natural teeth, making it an indispensable part of any cosmetic dental practice.

Perhaps most importantly, however, CEREC technology allows B&D Dental Excellence to better serve patients according to their schedules.

"These days, most people are strapped for time, thanks to demanding schedules that don't leave much room for dental appointments," Dr. Dunayer said. "CEREC allows us to provide important treatments in a timelier manner. Patients are happy, because they enjoy a more comfortable experience. They're also relieved that they no longer need to schedule multiple appointments which can disrupt their lives. Thanks to CEREC, we're able to get patients in and out of the dental chair more quickly; so they can get back to their work and family obligations as fast as possible."

Dr. Mark Dunayer has been practicing dentistry since 1986. His practice is located in West Nyack, NY. He can be reached via his website at http://www.rocklandsmiles.com.
