Ashleigh's illustrations in HELLO SPRING are personal journal entries of her life experiences. Inspired by random moments and objects from day to day life, Carter's drawing style can be described as quirky, distorted and exaggerated. Sometimes personifying food and animals, or drawing from childhood memories, she loves giving her audience something to smile about.

ABOUT ASHLEIGH CARTER:
Drawing since she was a child, Carter decided to pursue her love for illustration. Graduating in 2010 from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Communication Arts, Carter is currently a full-time graphic designer and freelance Illustrator and Designer with her work regularly featured in the "Refrigerator Art" column in the Food section of Northern Virginia Magazine. Her newest endeavor involves incorporating her illustrations into textiles and interior accents, giving her audience more ways to enjoy her art.
