(EESi), a medical imaging and DICOM storage solution provider, is pleased to announce it has officially become a Member Organization of Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) International, a non-profit organization focused on interoperable standards development.
IHE is a global initiative by healthcare professionals and industry leaders from the Hospital Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) established to improve the way computer systems in healthcare share information. IHE promotes the coordinated use of established standards such as Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) and Health Level Seven (HL7) to address specific clinical needs in support of optimal patient care. Systems developed in accordance with IHE communicate with one another better, are easier to implement, and enable care providers to use information more effectively. The goal of IHE is to provide end-users improved access to critical patient and clinical information across all systems within the healthcare delivery network.
Becoming a Member Organization of IHE International further demonstrates EESi's commitment to the healthcare market and its ability to follow industry standards.
