WILMINGTON, DE, March 23, 2013 (Press-News.org) QUBYX is pleased to announce the release of PerfectEPD 3.5, the latest version of its calibration tool for geospatial intelligence monitors. PerfectEPD software calibrates a display to meet the NGA Display Performance Standard, allowing more precise imaging and more exact readings.
For military, reconnaissance and intelligence agencies, accuracy of geospatial visualization is a matter of security. According to the NGA's "Softcopy Exploitation Display Hardware Performance Standard," displays must be "maintenance-adjustable to allow precise control of the black level, white level, and for color displays, the color temperature of the white point. Further, the luminance response needs to match the EPD aim curve." PerfectEPD software calibrates color and luminance response of a display to meet the NGA standards, allowing more precise imaging and more exact readings.
"Geospatial visualization is a demanding industry with elaborate quality standards," says Marc Leppla, Director of QUBYX. "With PerfectEPD, nearly any display can be adjusted to NGA requirements in no time."
PerfectEPD performs highly accurate monitor calibration and profiling, with a possibility of using internal LUT of the displays and DDC/CI communication. Like its medical industry equivalent PerfectLum, PerfectEPD is compatible with almost any display model, graphic board, and measurement device commercially available. Able to calibrate even consumer monitors to the EPD curve, PerfectEPD is a cost-efficient, yet very functional calibration solution. With features like task scheduling, detailed calibration reports, and Remote Management system for calibrating and testing multiple displays from one location, PerfectEPD outperforms its competitors in the geospatial imaging industry.
Version 3.5 of the software features even higher quality of color and luminance calibrations and ICC profiles, improved customizable reports, enhanced DDC/CI support, and a number of user interface improvements. Hardware compatibility of the application has been improved as well: PerfectEPD now supports new Dell Ultrasharp U3011, U3014, U2713h, U2413 displays with up to 14 bit Look Up Tables and Gossen MavoSpot, an elaborate spot photometer for highly accurate luminance measurements.
The previous version 3.0 was released back in 2010. Upgrade to PerfectEPD 3.5 is free and simple for 3.0 users. The upgrade is downloaded and installed for free, with all history and preferences data from the older version preserved.
