"Women in Government Contracting Update" at the Next BWCC Contracting Information Series

BALTIMORE, MD, March 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) The "Women in Government Contracting Update" from the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber (BWCC) Contracting Information Series will feature TargetGov President Gloria Larkin. Co-sponsors for the event include Women Impacting Public Police (WIPP), bwtech@UMBC, and TargetGov. The event takes place on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 and runs from 8:00am - 11:30am in bwtech@UMBC's Cyber Incubator, located at 5520 Research Park Drive, Baltimore, MD 21228.

Gloria Larkin will provide practical, bottom-line advice to address major recent changes in the marketplace and accelerate business success in the federal government market.

The event presentations also include bwtech@UMBC's Ellen Hemmerly, who will discuss cyber security and how bwtech@UMBC's Cyber Incubator has helped businesses in Maryland gain a foothold in this competitive marketplace. Tonia R. McCoy from the Small Business Administration (SBA) Baltimore District will focus on the Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) and Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) programs. Ann Sullivan, WIPP Government Relations, will give an insider's view of what it took to get the actual WOSB Program law enacted and how WIPP can help serve women in contracting.

There will also be a panel of successful women contractors who have build multi-million dollar businesses. The panel consists of Janet Amirault, CEO of Software Consortium, April Wennerberg of Project Masters, Inc., and Anthie Zairis, President of Group Z, Inc.
