Though the visual design remains fairly constant, the improved search function allows users to narrow down their options by choosing specific filters, i.e. category, specific project, or particular sustainable features.
"We launched our site in July 2012 and soon realized the need for an upgrade in our directory," said Fritz Kreiss, Host of GreenBuildTV. "However, the magnitude of what we wanted to do was beyond a simple fix. We didn't want to just put a band aide on the problem, but create a whole new and better user experience. We hope users will be as pleased as we are with our directory renovations."
Companies wishing to list their product(s) in the Green Directory have three options available to them, including a basic free listing or upgrades to premium or featured listings. GreenBuildTV is supported by a Facebook fan base of over 50,000 and a growing base of followers on both Twitter and Pinterest.
