Podiatrist In New York City Offers Noninvasive Treatment For Heel Pain

Dr. Kenneth Meisler, New York City podiatrist, is proud to offer shockwave therapy to treat his patients for heel pain

2013-03-27
NEW YORK CITY, NY, March 27, 2013 (Press-News.org) At Kenneth R. Meisler, D.P.M., FACFAS, P.L.L.C. & Associates, Dr. Kenneth Meisler, podiatrist in New York City, is happy to be offering a noninvasive way to treat his patient's heel pain with shock wave therapy in New York City. Radial Shock Wave Therapy or RSWT, is a fast, non-surgical way of reducing heel pain.

"We are glad that we can provide this sort of technology to our patients. We are always looking for new and effective ways for treating common foot injuries. The RSWT is for people who have tried other methods for treating heel pain with no results. We hope this method can finally give them relief," said Dr. Kenneth Meisler, New York City podiatrist.

Radial Shock Wave Therapy is mostly for patients who suffer from chronic heel pain or plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis occurs when the plantar fascia ligament that is located in the heel is overused from standing for long hours or from repetitive exercise. RSWT generates pressure waves that travel through the skin and come in contact with the inflamed tissue. The waves then stimulate the body's natural self-healing process. This treatment is safe as well as effective and has been evaluated by the FDA.

To schedule an appointment with Dr. Meisler for heel pain in New York City or another podiatric service, patients can either call (212) 628-4444 or use the online appointment request form. To do this, patients simply have to enter in the date, time and a few sentences detailing the nature of their appointment into the online form. Shortly after this, the practice's scheduling coordinator will follow up with a confirmation of the appointment.
