Cwist Announces Partnerships with Imagine Toys and Scientifics Direct

"cwist" kids' challenges with a twist - will offer partners' products as rewards on their soon-to-launch digital platform

2013-03-28
NEW YORK, NY, March 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) Cwist (pronounced kwist), the new digital platform where parents and educators can challenge kids to learn, get active and help others while teaching valuable life skills, has announced they are teaming up with Imagine Toys and Scientifics Direct for the cwist platform launch this April.

Cwist helps kids make a healthy connection between the things they want and the effort it takes to get them. Tapping the knowledge of parents and educators, the company has crowd-sourced an interactive library of fun and engaging educational, community service and outdoor challenges for kids ages 5-11. The new transaction-based platform will offer both homegrown rewards and great products from Imagine Toys and Scientifics. Kids can choose and receive these parent-approved rewards upon successful completion of a "cwist", extending the play experience and making parent purchases more meaningful to kids.

"Kids naturally love to earn rewards, but our philosophy is that the challenge itself can be both fun and educational. That's why our partnerships with Imagine Toys and Scientifics are a smart strategic fit," said Christopher Sleat, cwist Founder and CEO. "The cwist experience adds a new dimension to the wonderful toys both companies offer by engaging kids in learning challenges that encourage wonder, curiosity, creativity and inspiration."

Through cwist, retailers and toy distributors now have a unique marketing channel and a source of valuable market data providing complete visibility into what kids are wishing for and the rewards they are willing to earn.

Cwist's creators have diverse backgrounds in the education, consumer products, technology and kids' entertainment industries. As parents, they understand that moms and dads want to make buying things for kids more meaningful while developing their children's life skills and sense of accomplishment.

"Imagine Toys is delighted to be included in the launch with cwist," said Holly Ringle, President of Imagine Toys. "We are excited to be part of this ground-breaking initiative to bring creative, educational challenges to life in a way that will connect with modern children and their parents."

"Cwist activities will foster the parent/child relationship and open up new ways for children to look at and explore the world," said Tim Burns, Director for Scientifics. "Partnering with cwist gives us the opportunity to provide fun, interactive tools by which children can expand their knowledge of science."

Cwist is currently available only in beta and will launch by invitation in April 2013.
