2013-03-31
OLATHE, KS, March 31, 2013 (Press-News.org) Orthodontics is a unique combination of science, engineering, and art that also allows Dr. Michael Klein to visibly see the effects of his work while improving his patient's health. Because we want each patient to receive the level of treatment we would want for our family members. We are proud to offer services like Insigna custom-fabricated braces, laser tissue contouring, 3-D intra-oral scanning and 3-D X-rays to achieve outstanding results. No matter what route you go for your orthodontic treatment, you can be assured that you're getting the very best in orthodontic care.

What's important to note that orthodontic care not only produces positive changes in teeth but also in attitudes. Orthodontics is life-changing and can improve a person's self-confidence and personalities. At Klein Orthodontics, that is the goal in every treatment: to effect a positive change in the lives of our lives.

How Orthodontic Treatment Works

Modern orthodontic appliances be made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to a corrected position. This is a great time to wear braces! Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can often choose brackets that are clear or metallic, and sometimes you can choose the color of the ties that hold the wire in brackets. Wires are also less noticeable than they used to be, and the latest materials move teeth faster with less discomfort to patients.

Types of Braces

There are many types of braces to choose from and each may present specific advantages or disadvantages to the patient. Dr. Klein and his staff will assist you in making the decision that will best suit your needs and desires so you'll achieve the smile you've always dreamed of.

Simpli5

Nothing could be simpler! Simpli5 is a revolutionary new system of aligners designed to correct minor imperfections in about five to six weeks. Each set of aligners are customized to fit your mouth and to give you the smile you've always wanted. Simpli5 aligners are designed to correct minor crowding or spacing, and to realign teeth that have already received orthodontic treatment.

Invisalign

Since Invisalign is nearly invisible, you can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing. You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position your doctor has prescribed. You'll visit our practice about once every six weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time typically lasts nine to 15 months, and the number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both numbers will vary from case to case.

The Next Move is Yours

Getting braces is a big step. But it's a step that will lead to the healthy smile you've always dreamed of. With a complimentary initial visit, there's no better time than now to schedule an appointment. Dr. Klein has two offices to serve you: in Olathe, KS at 975 North Mur-Len (Tel:913-829-4466) and in Overland Park, KS at 8631 W. 150th St, Suite 102 (Tel: 913-681-8138). Compared with typical insecticide sprays, the Bt toxins produced by genetically engineered crops are much safer for people and the environment, explained ...

Wiretaps and white collar crime Article provided by Law Offices of John D. Kirby, A P.C.
