Former FDA Special Agent Writes Book on Primal Nutrition

Author Gary Collins launches new health book describing his Primal Power Method to a healthier life.

2013-04-08
ESCONDIDO, CA, April 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Former Special Agent for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration turned public health advocate, Gary Collins, recently released his new book based on his popular health system entitled, Primal Power Method: Unlocking the Ancient Secret to Health. The book is positioned as a set of simple-to-understand guidelines that will enable anyone to achieve optimal health and wellness from the inside-out.

Collins' former career as a federal investigator for the FDA included investigating health care fraud, tainted food, prescription drug counterfeiting, illegal importation of medical drugs and other patient abuses. It was during Collins' role as a federal investigator that his eyes were opened to the "dark" side of the food, drug and supplement industries, but it also introduced him to the concepts of natural eating and healing, primarily from his exposure to other non-western cultures that treated food and movement as medicine. Collins began his decade-long mission to discover the answers to optimal health, which ultimately resulted in the development of his Primal Power Method health program and book.

The Primal Power Method is based on the premise that achieving optimal health is the same today as it was thousands of years ago for our cave-dwelling ancestors. While modern humans may have more creature and culinary comforts than their predecessors, their digestive systems have changed little since their prehistoric days.

According to Collins, prehistoric humans sustained themselves by gathering natural plant-based foods and hunting wild animals. The human body, though highly adaptive, needs specific nutrients that can only be found in nature to function properly. Only in the last few hundred years has the nutritional paradigm changed to include a modern diet predominately focused on grain and processed food products that lack the proper nutrition that the body needs to stay healthy. The result of this shift in nutrition is a nation full of chronically sick, obese and diseased individuals who must rely on medical drugs and surgery to stay alive.

Collins does not believe that people should be living their lives in a state of chronic pain and suffering. He developed the Primal Power Method as a set of lifestyle instructions on how to heal the body from the inside out so that people can stop living in pain and start enjoying an active life well into their golden years.

The Primal Power Method is available for purchase through amazon.com and through newamericannutrition.com.

Members of the Press/Media can request a review copy of the Primal Power Method, and/or schedule an interview with Mr. Collins by contacting his office at 858-367-0765 or by email at contact@newamericannutrition.com.
