In this position, Allen will use his decade of experience to ensure the proper installation and performance, in accordance with contract documents, of all mechanical work and devices, including HVAC, fire sprinkler and plumbing systems.
A native of Benson, N.C., Allen received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from NC State University, as well as an associate degree in machining technology from Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, N.C., and a machinist diploma from Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh. Allen served in various engineering positions at Carolina Fire Protection, Enoch Engineers P.A. and AB Automotive before joining SfL+a Architects. He is a licensed professional engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia, and is a member of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). A member of First Presbyterian Church in Dunn, N.C., Allen resides in Benson with his wife and son.
