Custom Stone Furniture Makers Expand Their Earth-friendly Options as They Celebrate 10 Years in Business

Niche outdoor furniture company provides clients with luxury products that are built to last.

2013-04-10
LIVERMORE, CO, April 10, 2013 (Press-News.org) More and more consumers seek attractive, functional products that enhance their lifestyle, yet do no damage to the earth. When it comes to home furnishings, the Colorado company Stone 2 Furniture offers a line of products whose eco-friendliness is hard to beat. Its custom-built indoor and outdoor stone furniture, ergonomically crafted from reclaimed metal and stone that is millions of years old, makes an unusual visual statement and stands to last for centuries into the future.

Currently celebrating their tenth year in business, entrepreneurs Dwayne and Jill Cranford report strong growth in demand for their seating sets, barstools, tables, benches, chaise loungers and ottomans made of flagstone in buff, red or Idaho Gray colors, or of polished black granite. Their newest product is the Wine Buddy , a small stone and steel table built for smaller areas needing a table to accommodate beverages.

New in 2013 is the fact that the company now offers wholesale rates on its products to retailers in the industry. All of its items are built in the USA using reclaimed materials.

For coastal areas, Stone 2 Furniture has a line of stone furniture whose metal pieces are non-rusting aluminum rather than steel, to withstand saltwater erosion.

"From a rocky start in a small shed, where Dwayne built each piece by hand, as he still does today, but in a larger shop, we now have customers in practically every state across America," says co-owner Jill Cranford. "We hold a unique spot in the outdoor furniture industry, providing luxury furniture that's a functional work of art for people who don't want to just sit comfortably but also enjoy how it makes them feel and how well the furniture expresses their respect for the environment."

Cranford cites the furniture created for the Best Western Pioneer in Lusk, Wyoming as a prime example of Stone 2 Furniture 's appeal. "The motel owner was tired of constantly replacing his furniture. He wanted something memorable that was low maintenance and would hold up to the Wyoming wind, snow, sun and tourists. Now he has 32 Stone 2 Furniture pieces all over his property that create an unforgettable impression, cannot blow away or wear out, and encourage his guests to hang out at the pool or in his courtyard."

Stone 2 Furniture is a custom stone furniture company and design service for 10 years.
