RALEIGH, NC, April 10, 2013 (Press-News.org) The Board of Directors of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh is pleased to announce the Third Annual Celebrate God's Gifts Gala, hosted by the Most Reverend Michael F. Burbidge, will be held Saturday, April 27 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Raleigh Marriott City Center. ABC11 Meteorologist Chris Hohmann will serve as emcee for this fundraising event.
The festivities will also include presentation of the 2013 Bishop F. Joseph Gossman Community Service Award to Ron and Jeannette Doggett. Longtime benefactors of various charitable causes, the Doggetts have supported such organizations as Catholic Parish Outreach, Habitat for Humanity, and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
"In just three short years, this gala has become the signature fundraising event for Catholic Charities," said Charlie Lorelli, board chair. "We look forward to another great evening with Bishop Burbidge and generous supporters from across the Diocese."
