LateRooms.com - World Netball Series Set to Be Held in Liverpool

Liverpool welcomes the World Netball Series in November, with the Fast Net format set to be employed at the occasion.

2010-10-28
LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND, October 28, 2010 (Press-News.org) The World Netball Series is coming to Liverpool and is sure to bring with it an army of fans of the sport.

Liverpool hotels will no doubt be packed with netball enthusiasts by the time the competition begins on November 19th 2010, with the contest going on until the 21st.

The event was only played out for the first time last year - when it was held in Manchester - but the format used at the occasion has since gained popularity, according to the organisers.

Teams taking part will play by Fast Net rules, which involve shorter games and goals that translate to more points.

Attendees will have to decide for themselves whether they prefer this new style of play or if they will stick to the traditional regulations when they play at home, but there is no denying that it makes for an entertaining match.

Commenting on the upcoming event, president of the International Federation of Netball Associations Molly Rhone said she is delighted it is going to be held in Liverpool.

"Spectators will once again be given the opportunity to witness this thrilling Fast Net competition between the top six netball teams in the world," she added.

Tickets for this competition range from GBP5 to GBP24.

The opening ceremony takes place at 13:10 GMT on the Friday and the final presentation is at 16:45 on the Sunday, with all the games occurring between those times.

For more information on this event visit the Echo Arena website or contact the venue on 0844 8000 400.
