St. Louis Dermatologists Named 'Best Doctor In America' By National Organization

Associates in Dermatology, dermatologists in St. Louis, receive recognition through the "Best Doctors in America" award.

2013-04-12
CHESTERFIELD, MO, April 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) Associates in Dermatology of St. Louis, MO are proud to announce that two of their doctors have recently been selected to appear on the Best Doctor's in America list. Drs. Richard Bell and James Donnelly, Chesterfield and St. Louis dermatologists, were awarded this prestigious distinction by Best Doctor's Inc., a national organization founded in 1989 by physicians associated with Harvard University.

Other physicians who consider them the top in their field nominate doctors that make the list. Nominees must then meet a long list of strict criteria to make the final roster. No one can pay to be on the list and Best Doctor's Inc. does not pay anyone to nominate a doctor. Those who are selected are considered the best of the best.

Associates in Dermatology now has the unique distinction of being the only private St. Louis dermatology practice to have two recipients of the Best Doctor's in America award. Receiving the esteemed acknowledgment humbled Dr. Bell, dermatologist in St. Louis and Chesterfield, stating "I am truly honored to have made the Best Doctor's in America roster. It is reassuring to know that my peers respect my accomplishments enough to have nominated me, and to have made it to the final list is a privilege I won't take for granted".

The popular practice is a full service dermatology office where St. Louis and Chesterfield area patients seek help for various skin disorders, including St. Louis rosacea treatment, eczema treatment, skin cancer screenings in Chesterfield, laser treatment, and even cosmetic procedures such as Juvederm and fillers. They were established in 1991 and have since opened several satellite offices in Missouri as well as one in Illinois.

Like Dr. Bell, Dr. Donnelly, dermatologist in Chesterfield and St. Louis, was equally grateful for the Best Doctors in America accolade and spoke of the importance of such distinctions when choosing a doctor. "I strongly support patient-advocacy groups and believe in the right for people to know all they can about the doctors they are trusting to make important medical decisions. Best Doctor's Inc. is a respected and esteemed organization that has been helping the public find good physicians for decades, and I am sincerely grateful to be a part of their list".

About Associates in Dermatology: Since 1991, Associates in Dermatology has provided quality dermatological services to West St. Louis County and surrounding areas. In addition to their main Chesterfield office at St. Luke's Hospital, Associates in Dermatology see patients at their satellite offices in Sullivan and St. Genevieve, Missouri, as well as Staunton, Illinois. A physician rather than a nurse practitioner or physician's assistant sees all patients. With four dermatologists, wait times for both new and established patients are shorter than with many other practices, which further proves why Associates in Dermatology is the preferred choice for dermatological care. On staff at Associates in Dermatology are Drs. James Donnelly, Richard Bell, Amy Ney and Gina Bowers. Dr. Donnelly received his Doctorate of Medicine from Washington University in St. Louis, and received training in internal medicine at the Jewish Hospital of St. Louis, and completed his dermatology residency at Barnes Jewish Hospital, serving as Chief Resident in Dermatology during his final year. Dr. Bell also received his Doctorate of Medicine from Washington University in St. Louis and received training in internal medicine at Harvard's Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. Dr. Ney reviewed her Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Virginia and completed an internship in internal medicine followed by a dermatology residency at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, serving as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Gina Bowers received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Missouri, with subsequent research fellowship in melanoma imaging at the Washington University School of Medicine, finishing her dermatology residency in 2007. Associates in Dermatology offer an array of services, including Chesterfield laser treatment, rosacea treatment, Juvederm, skin cancer treatment, skin cancer screening and facial dermal fillers in St. Louis, among others.
