Lions, Tigers & Bears to Host Annual Wild in the Country Gala

San Diego's only exotic animal rescue facility celebrates 10 years of saving lives

SAN DIEGO, CA, April 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) Lions, Tigers & Bears (LTB), the Alpine, Calif. non-profit exotic animal sanctuary celebrating 10 years of saving lives this year, is hosting its annual Wild in the Country Gala on May 4, 2013 from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. The event, open to the public, will feature a silent and live auction; live entertainment; catered food; a live music performance by Lisa Sanders; visits with the big cats, bears and animals in Animal Encounters and fun for the whole family.

LTB expects more than 600 people in attendance. All proceeds from the event will be used for general operations at the sanctuary. The public is invited to attend at $95 for adults ($115 after April 26, 2013), $25 for kids or $850 for a table for 10. VIP pricing is $200 for adults or $25 for kids. A VIP table for 10 is $1,800.

The Animal Cracker Conspiracy Puppet Company and their Giant Crazy Circus Stilt-Characters will be among the featured performers. Live and silent auction items will include a 10-day Alaskan cruise, a week-long Maui vacation, a private dinner with Bobbi Brink at the sanctuary, a trip for two to Mammoth Mountain, a weekend stay in Mexico, an African safari and more will be announced soon. Phil's BBQ will provide food and adult beverages will be available for purchase. Chef Drew McPartin will cater the VIP reception from 1:00-2:00 p.m.

"This is our biggest fundraiser of the year," said Bobbi Brink, Founder and Director of Lions, Tigers & Bears. "At a time when more animals than ever need rescuing and a lifetime home, we value the generous support from the public."
