Indoor Golf League Champions Crowned at Golfer's Grail

A new five-week golf league begins May 1

LUTZ, FL, April 17, 2013

At the end of an eight-week battle, amateur golfers Marcus Hamilton and Chris Bentley outlasted eight other teams to become champions of Golfer's Grail Indoor Golf & Tap's league. They each received a $150 Edwin Watts gift card and a Golfer's Grail shirt and hat for their victory over eight other teams.

In each Golfer's Grail league, two-person teams play a 9-hole round in a scramble format each week for eight weeks. The winners are determined by the lowest six of eight scores. Prizes are awarded to the first, second and third place teams.

"Leagues are a fun way to play in a competitive environment," Owner Jeff Sproat said. "The flexibility in our league makes it possible for everyone, even people with hectic schedules, to come in and play a 9-hole round each week."

B.A. Arnot and Shane Hampton placed second, while Rob Glisson and Marc Katzin came in third. Both teams also received Edwin Watts gift cards and a Golfer's Grail shirt and hat.

A shorter five-week league will begin May 1 with the 9-hole scramble format. League participants may choose a Monday-Thursday tee time which best accommodates their schedules.
The five-week league is $95 per player. Teams or individual players can register by phone, email or in person. More information about Golfer's Grail and its upcoming leagues can be found on Golfer's Grail Indoor Golf & Tap's website or Facebook page.
