Titan Holdings, Inc., A Wholly-owned Subsidiary of Scalada Holdings, LTD., Announces Completion of Beta Testing on Its Fracking Wastewater Technology
With its patented Elemental Ionization System ready for enterprise level deployment in the oil and gas production industry, Titan Holdings, Inc. stands to be a game changer in the multi-billion dollar global water treatment trade.
SINGAPORE, April 19, 2013
Titan Holdings, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scalada Holdings Ltd.,(http://www.scaladaholdings.net) announced today that it will complete its Beta Testing Unit used to demonstrate the effectiveness and enterprise level viability of its technology to convert and recycle waste water and fracking fluids produced in U.S. oil fields.Hydraulic fracturing, or "fracking" (also known as hydrofracturing, fracing, fraccing, or fracking) is the propagation of fractures from a wellbore drilled into reservoir rock formations by a pressurized fluid in order to release petroleum, natural gas (including shale gas, tight gas, and coal seam gas), or other substances for extraction.
It is estimated that in the United States alone, at least 9 billion liters of contaminated water are produced daily by fracking, and that a typical well uses 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 gallons of water during the process. By the year 2020, the global water treatment industry is estimated to reach $9 billion annually.
Titan's involvement is significant because it brings to the table Scalada's unique and patented Elemental Ionization System (EIS) for remediation of the considerable amount of waste water produced in the fracking process. The system is considered the worldwide leader in the field because it cleans up wastewaters in ways that are economical, environmentally friendly and profitable. The system also has the distinct advantages over other frac water remediation systems of onsite placement and almost complete mobility, thus allowing the oil industry to reduce the need for vast qualities of fresh water.
According to Titan CEO Manly Logan, "We are very pleased to be a major stakeholder in this incredibly important energy development area. Our Elemental Ionization System is considered faster, cleaner, and more efficient than that of any other company worldwide, and it can be offered at a fraction of the price."
The first experimental use of hydraulic fracturing was in 1947, and the first commercially successful applications were in 1949. As of 2010, it was estimated that 60% of all new oil and gas wells worldwide were being hydraulically fractured.
