The Small Business Lifecycle: A Guide for Taking the Right Steps at the Right Time to Grow Your Small Business, debuted at #1 in the Amazon Kindle store upon its soft release on March 29. The ebook has received numerous accolades across the web by creatives and entrepreneurs alike.
The Small Business Lifecycle aims to help small business owners understand the different lifecycle small and micro-businesses follow and also learn how to move from one stage of the lifecycle to the next.
"Too many small business owners are either trying to do things too early or are still doing things the same way as they started, which either leads to gaining no traction or not addressing what has their business stuck," said Gilkey about his inspiration for writing the book. "The Small Business Lifecycle shows what steps to take at what stage of business."
According to Gilkey, there are five stages of the small business lifecycle. Each stage has different strengths, challenges, inconvenient truths, and ways forward outlined in the guide.
Helpful for both beginners and seasoned business owners, Gilkey presents a different set of challenges and solutions in each stage of the cycle, creating a sort of treatise on how small businesses are run. This thorough guide includes questions to ask before starting a small business, how to get a foothold in the market and choose the right audience, why some successful products actually cause business owners to lose momentum, where small businesses get stuck and stop growing, and how not to break a successful, scalable business.
The Small Business Lifecycle is currently available as a digital download on the Amazon Kindle store for $2.99 and will be available in print within the next month.
