FORT WORTH, TX, April 24, 2013 (Press-News.org) Thus far, the tragedy at the West Fertilizer Co. has resulted in the deaths of 14 and injuries to more than 200 residents of West, TX. Many of those killed were first responders battling the fire that preceded the explosion.

"The tragedy in Boston and this horrifc accident in West remind us that disasters can happen at any time, " said State Farm Agent Linda Allen. "We want to help, so we volunteered to be a collection point for Saginaw and Eagle Mountain Lake-residents who want to donate clothing, give non-perishable food items or write a check to the Red Cross."

"The response from our clients, friends, and other folks in Saginaw has been terrific so far, but the need is tremendous," said Allen.

Donations can be dropped off at the Linda Allen State Farm Agency at 8101 Boat Club Road, Suite 240 between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm or on Saturdays from 9 am to noon. The insurance agency is located between Pinnacle Bank and the Villa Lago Apartments in Fort Worth. The collection drive will go until May 20.
