In her new role, Smith is responsible for client relations, public relations strategy and execution for high-level accounts. Smith has experience working with clients in a variety of industries, including fashion, real estate, health care, pharmaceutical, medical device and food service. She graduated from NC State University with a B.S. in communications, with a public relations emphasis, and in Spanish language and literature.

A Raleigh native, Smith continues to reside there with her husband, Chris, and their two sons.
