recordJet Passenger Baba Saad Enters The Official German And Austrian Album Charts

- Number 63 of the German, and number 62 of the Austrian album charts for "SdoppelaD" - Second charts success for berlin-based digital music distributor recordJet

2013-04-25
BERLIN, GERMANY, April 25, 2013 (Press-News.org) Berlin-based digital music distributor and content aggregator recordJet reported their second charts entry within one year: On April 18, 2013, recordJet passenger Baba Saad reached number 63 of the official German album charts, and number 62 of the official Austrian album charts with his album "SdoppelaD". The album was published by Saads's own label "Halunkenbande" and digitally distributed worldwide by recordJet.

Baba Saad, his real name being Saad El-Haddad, is a German rapper of Lebanese origin. Between 2005 and 2011 he was under contract at the label "ersguterjunge" owned by Bushido, who is one of Germany's most successful and influential rappers. He supported Bushido on his album "Staatsfeind Nr. 1" ("Enemy of the State") and toured with him in 2005. In 2006, he published his second album called "Das Leben ist Saad" ("Life Is Saad"), followed by "Saadcore" in 2008. In 2011, Saad and Bushido declared to go separate ways, whereupon the young artist founded his own label "Halunkenbande". His first solo album called "Halunke" ("Rascal"), published by his own label, reached number 16 of the official German album charts in 2011.

"Our entire crew was pretty thrilled when Saad and his label "Halunkenbande" wanted to work with us. Apparently, they were really convinced of our fair distribution model", says Jorin Zschiesche, founder and CEO of recordJet. "We are very happy about Saad's solo success and extremely proud of having him on board as a passenger".

Baba Saad's success is not the first charts entry the young company has seen. Less than a year ago, in May 2012, recordJet passenger "room77" reached number 97 of the official German single charts with their song "Finale Dahoam" ("Finals at Home"). One of the band's more renown members is Andreas Goerlitz, a popular German football player.
The song had been recorded as title track for the 2012 Champions League Finals between FC Bayern Munich and Chelsea F.C.
