SEMI-GAS Systems Wins Second Consecutive Golden Gas Award

Samplex Takes Gold Award in Specialty Gas Delivery Systems Category

2013-04-25
MALVERN, PA, April 25, 2013 (Press-News.org) SEMI-GAS Systems, an industry-leading supplier of ultra-high purity gas source and distribution systems, announces that its Xturion Samplex , an automatic gas sampling system, has won the 2013 Golden Gas Award for Specialty Gas Delivery Systems, presented by Gases and Instrumentation International Magazine.

The 2013 Golden Gas Awards included 45 submissions in nine categories. Entries were judged by a panel of independent technical experts based on the product's ability to solve an important gas industry challenge, focusing on technical innovation and/or superior specifications including power requirements, speed, maintenance and cost. Awards were presented during Pittcon, March 18th - 21st, in Philadelphia, PA.

Samplex, an original SEMI-GAS Xturion design, enables users to automatically sample and certify cylinders of blended gas mixtures. The fully automatic system is capable of comparative ratio analysis of multiple gas streams in parts per million (PPM) and parts per billion (PPB), via a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analyzer.

Samplex is controlled using an intuitive on-board touch screen and adjacent PC controller. A wireless bar code scanner is also included for quick and accurate cylinder identification. By automating the gas sampling process and minimizing human-error, the unit is able to reduce operational costs and increase safety. Samplex is an ideal system for specialty gas suppliers required to perform EPA protocol analysis.

Megan Kasper, the SEMI-GAS marketing manager, said, "We are honored to receive the Golden Gas Award for a second consecutive year. At SEMI-GAS, we always strive to develop innovative products to solve specific gas industry challenges and we're excited that Samplex was recognized this year."
