TORONTO, CANADA, April 25, 2013 (Press-News.org) Medical University of the Americas (MUA) will host a free information session in Toronto, Canada for anyone interested in pursuing a career in medicine. The information session will start at 10:00 am on April 27th, 2013 and be held in the Thomson Room at the Hyatt Regency Toronto on 370 King Street West.
The Medical University of the Americas Information Session is open to all prospective medical students and their families. All participants are asked to pre-register online at the following address http://bit.ly/MUAInfo
Attendees of the information session will receive a detailed introduction to the Medical University of the Americas campus, curriculum, faculty, and admissions requirements. Recent MUA graduates will be on hand, as well as MUA Executive Dean Gordon Green M.D., F.R.C.P. (C), F.A.A.P.

A top faculty, rigorous curriculum and superb campus have made MUA a leader in international medical education. MUA students have a 94% pass rate on the USMLE Step 1 and won several desirable residencies in the recently conducted 2013 Canadian Residency Match. On average, more than half of MUA graduates obtain residencies in fields outside of Family Medicine. A significant number of graduates are Chief Residents and pursue Fellowships.
The Medical University of the Americas is one of a select group of international medical schools approved by the New York State Education Department. All MUA students will have the opportunity to complete more than 12 weeks of clinical clerkships in New York State.
