YAVNE, ISRAEL, April 26, 2013 (Press-News.org) Safeplace, one of the most trusted manufacturers of guestroom safes to the global hospitality industry, today announces the introduction of their latest innovation — the Extreme Advanced Electronic Safe.
Safeplace's Extreme Safe features blue illuminated buttons for easy operation in dimly lit guestrooms, as well as an LED display, audio visual feedback for each operation, standard left and right opening, sleep mode, internal light, replaceable doors, and an anti-tamper feature. Extreme is ADA compliant, and also includes a low-battery indicator and external backup, ensuring that it works when needed. Its intuitive security features include automatic sleep mode after five incorrect codes are entered and a 500-event audit record. Extreme provides an optional power outlet for charging laptops while secured inside the safe, as well as AC power, a feature that is unique to Extreme safes.
Available in a choice of black or pale gray, the Extreme line includes a selection of sizes in order to meet the specific needs of a hotel or cruise ship. These include Extreme Compact, Extreme Laptop and Extreme Deep.
Extreme is compatible with Safeplace's new UltiMax Service unit, the most advanced safe service unit on the market. The PDA-like handheld allows hotel staff to quickly and securely address service issues involving Safeplace electronic safes, such as forgotten access codes. The wireless UltiMax interacts with safes via infrared communication. Because UltiMax runs on rechargeable lithium ion batteries, making it immune to power failure, it can quickly open guest safes even in an emergency. Its tamper-proof, override-resistant, 500-record audit trail adds another level of security, both for guests' valuables and the hotel's liability.
For smaller hotels with minimal staff operation, Safeplace has also devised the SparKey service unit. Featuring many of the same functionalities as UltiMax, SparKey was specifically developed to provide owners of smaller properties with a cost-effective solution for offering enhanced guest service. All Safeplace safes require minimal service and conform to international quality, safety and environmental standards. Every Safeplace product is backed by a worldwide distribution and service network.
