Chef Roble Ali & Pyknic Release New "Food Porn" Snapback Hat Collaboration

Bravo's Roble Ali of "Chef Roble & Co." Teams up with Streetwear Brand, Pyknic, to Release New "Food Porn" Snapback Hats

2013-04-28
WINDSOR, NJ, April 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) The streetwear clothing line, Pyknic, has just released a brand new snapback hat in collaboration with Bravo Television star, Roble Ali, of "Chef Roble & Co".

The "Food Porn" black snapback hat features crossing silverware embroidered in neon stitching three-times across the front, resembling a neon sign one would see outside a risque establishment. "Food Porn" is also emblazoned along the back of the hat in stitching. One very unique feature is that the hat's available in two sizes, "standard" (58 cm) and "biggie" (63 cm). The "Neon Snapback" is constructed of 100% acrylic with a flat brim and retails on the Pyknic online shop for $34.

The new hat is an extension of the "Food Porn" collaboration line between Ali and Pyknic. Their unique food-themed prints are also featured on soft goods: t-shirts, crewneck sweatshirts, and hooded sweatshirts. Four of the designs consist of photographs taken at Chef Roble Ali's Brooklyn, NY kitchen, three of which the celebrity chef and Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park) alumnus personally cooked and food-styled.

Pyknic was worn by Roble thought the first season of "Chef Roble & Co." which premiered in the fall of 2011 on Bravo. The "Food Porn" collaboration had been in talks for a couple years before being released to the public on January 28th, 2013.

Pyknic's "young and hungry" mantra resonates with their worldwide supporters of all backgrounds as inspiration to seek out dreams with hard work rather than becoming a product of society's expectations.

"Besides our friendship, the partnership was only natural," says Stephen Thompson, 26, a DeSales University '09 (Center Valley, PA) graduate, "Roble embodies Pyknic's "young and hungry" beliefs. He worked his way up to become who he is today rather than just being satisfied with anyone else's expectations besides his own. The synergy between Roble and our brand is so great that we'll be keeping a lot of fans on their toes with our releases."

Thompson created the lifestyle brand as an outlet for his culture of food, sport, friends, and music. Pyknic has also been featured in "The Source" Magazine and was named to Bloomberg Businessweek's America's Best Young Entrepreneurs 2010. Food Porn's premium t-shirts are illustrated with food concepts in mind, retailing between $28 on their website (www.pyknic.com/foodporn).
