This series highlight the sustainable tourism practices used in the Riviera Maya and will deepen visitor involvement in sustainable tourism. The Mindful Traveler Series outlines the cultural, economic, environmental and people related travel experiences that visitors can participate in and learn about while visiting the Riviera Maya.

"In 1992, Gary and I moved to the Riviera Maya to explore underwater caves, which escalated into a passion for the area's adventure and natural beauty. We used our web presence to share these experiences. In 2013 we have labeled this wealth of information the Mindful Traveler Series to highlight the sustainable adventures we have grown so passionate about. Sustainable tourism is not new to the Riviera Maya, but the access to information and definition of sustainable activities and lodging is. Today, more and more travelers are looking for meaningful vacation experiences such as learning about the culture of the country they are visiting, looking for off the beaten path adventure and implementing green travel practices to enrich not only their vacation but themselves. The Mindful Traveler series defines what sustainable tourism is and the wealth of activities that fall under this new travel category. The Mindful traveler Series highlights the ease of and accessibility to sustainable tourism in the Riviera Maya. The Mindful Traveler Series makes this possible.

The Mindful Traveler series will evolve as Locogringo unveils new web applications and interactive online information. The full unveiling the Mindful Traveler Series will begin in July 2013 with much anticipation from local businesses and visitors.
