LOS ANGELES, CA, May 05, 2013 (Press-News.org) Language Systems International (LSI) announced today that the avocational private language school has been granted national accreditation by ACCET, the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training.
ACCET has been officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978 as a "reliable authority" as to the quality of education and training provided by the institutions they accredit.
"This is an outstanding achievement for all the managers, program coordinators, teachers, and staff who have worked tirelessly over the past couple of years to help LSI meet the national standards for academic and administrative excellence," stated the CEO at LSI. "We are honored to be accredited by ACCET and are confident that our students will take advantage of all the benefits that come from studying at a nationally recognized accrediting organization."
Over the course of 2011 and 2012, LSI carried out a thorough process of self-examination and prepared four self-evaluation reports for ACCET, one for each of its four branches in Southern California. All self-evaluations reports and other program materials were reviewed by ACCET subject specialists. A team of national evaluators then traveled to Southern California to conduct onsite reviews at each campus that included a thorough examination of all academic and non-academic procedures, student services, class materials, teaching methods, and academic programs. Based on this entire process and the team's report to the Accrediting Commission, LSI was granted national accreditation.
"I feel so honored to be working with such an incredible group of people at LSI. Everyone did their best to contribute something to the process," said Michelle Buell, Academic Director at LSI. "I feel that LSI has so much to offer its students. This process made us much stronger and more focused than ever on our Mission of providing quality educational opportunities to our students."
