MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, May 07, 2013 (Press-News.org) Emma James MABNLP MATLTA MABH Dip FTST says that in her practise, porn addiction enquiries and clients are increasing. Pornography addiction has been steadily increasing over the last 3 years and Emma James directly attributes it to the recession and financial hardships.
"Many men over the last 5 years have experienced increased stress" says the researcher, therapist and hypnotherapist from Manchester Emma James. "We look for escapes at times of stress and anything where we can forget about the issues of our lives and pornography because it is so freely available on the net, is one of those escapes" she stated.
Emma James, the therapist in Manchester stated that porn addiction therapy enquiries had risen at least 30% and majority had encountered serious family and financial issues during that time.
"If people are experiencing difficulty with pornography addiction and a compulsion to the point they actually don't even think about it and it is automatic response as a way of escapism then it needs to be addressed. It can have severe impact on interpersonal and sexual relationships which is when they usually seek help".
