All-Star Basketball Camp, LLC hosts 1st annual star studded youth camp in North Miami

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, August 24, 2010 (Press-News.org) NBA superstars Kenny Anderson, Dennis Rodman, Tim Hardaway and Mario Chambers took part in the All Star Basketball Camp, working with children on fundamentals and fun August 9- 12 at The JCC North Miami Beach. NBA Defensive Player of the Year and All Star Dennis Rodman and NBA Superstar Kenny Anderson will take part in four days of basketball fundamentals and fun at the 2010 All Star Basketball Camp August 9-12 at The JCC North Miami. A portion of the camp proceeds were donated to the JCC to help fund their programs.

Jon Hirsch, president of the camp states "I started this camp as a way to teach our youth lessons that go beyond a game. We want to teach each of them how even at a young age the importance of working together as a team. Letting the children see that self esteem partnered with great communication skills is key to success in all avenues. Having NBA pros at the camps get the kids attention because who better to learn from than role models who have experienced what they are going through and conquered it.
Dennis Rodman, Kenny Anderson and other NBA Special Guests conducted the All- Star Basketball Camp, as well as lead instructions and demonstrations camp for kids. The camp was designed to teach fundamental basketball skills, sportsmanship and team concepts. The All Star Basketball Camp emphasizes the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, staying in school, and saying no to drugs and alcohol. These core values help enhance a sense of self- confidence. To make sure this is a positive learning experience.

The camp is designed to teach the children sportsmanship, team work, self esteem, communication and so much more. We are also currently in the process of opening an All-Star basketball Academy where children can get one on one time and attention with a trained expert, get pointers on their growing their game, as well as, ask questions and speak freely with individuals that can give educated answers. The main goal is to get the children to work hard, focus on their education, and be well rounded. Not to mention have some fun in the process.
