CHARLESTON, SC, May 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina volunteered to help assist the Cinderella Project in Charleston, SC on Friday March 1st 2013. The Cinderella Project helps to provide free prom dresses and accessories for underprivileged high school students in the Charleston area. The Cinderella Project is one of the many committees on the Young Lawyers Division of the South Carolina Bar. Attorney Evan Guthrie was joined by fellow volunteers from the Evan Guthrie Law Firm Kimaya Brown a law clerk and student at Charleston Southern University and Mallory Corrigan a law clerk and student at College of Charleston. Other volunteers for the event included local attorneys including project chair, Alissa Collins and law students from the Charleston School of Law. Mr. Guthrie helped set up the event the day before by unloading and unpacking donated dresses and then helping sort them by color and size. There were hundreds of dresses that had to be sorted that were generously donated by local businesses and other sources that allowed the event to occur. The dresses were in piles, bags, and boxes and were then put on hangers and moved to racks. Attorney Guthrie also help set up changing rooms and mirrors for participants to try on the dresses. Mr. Guthrie came back the following day after the event to help clean up and dismantle everything. Attorney Evan Guthrie was happy to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause that can make a big difference in the lives of Lowcountry high school students. This was the second year in a row that Mr. Guthrie was able to help out with the project. Attorney Guthrie looks forward to being able to come back and help again in future years to come.
