TU ME INC. To Launch Revolutionary New Sports Drink, TU ME, All Natural Turmeric-Infused Water

Introducing a line of unique replenishing and revitalizing products that fight muscle inflammation during recovery process appeals to the active lifestyle

LOS ANGELES, CA, May 11, 2013

Tu Me, Inc. has developed an impressive new entry into the "functional drink" category to help active lifestyles at every level fight post-workout inflammation, called Tu Me Water.

What makes this product line different from the competition is the main ingredient in Tu Me waters - TurmericXtract. This can only be derived from turmeric, an ancient healing herb that's been used for centuries in Asia as a proven antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound.

Health conscious advocates tend to rely on conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs that result in irritation of the stomach and other harmful effects on the body. The innovative recipe of Tu Me water eliminates these issues, offering all the health benefits without the side effects. The turmeric herb itself has also been proven to assist in the alleviation of other more serious health issues.

NFL Pro-Bowler Marcedes Lewis, of the Jacksonville Jaguars drinks Tu Me Water with a hint of Mango, and not only does he love the taste, but he feels the difference pre- and post-workout.

"It tastes great, and is good for me too. I play hard, and I train even harder, so I need something that is going to keep me healthy and going strong, and Tu Me Water does just that."

Turmeric has been used for centuries to clear infections and inflammations on the inside and outside of the body. Furthermore Doctors at UCLA have recently discovered that curcumin, the main component in turmeric, appeared to block an enzyme that promotes the growth of head and neck cancer.

Tu Me Co-Founder Shaina Zaidi noted, "We wanted to create a product that more effectively combats inflammation, replenishes, and rehydrates, is low calorie and tastes great. It's the perfect drink for active people and athletes everywhere. Truly a refreshing edge!"

About TuMe Water

The old adage "necessity is the Mother of invention" is appropriately applied to the birth of Tu Me Turmeric Infused water. The driving force behind the father/daughter duo was their desire to help others. They did not have to go very far to reach out to those in need. Having grown up in Pakistan, Founder Nasir Zaidi was familiar with the practice of incorporating healing herbs into his daily routine—be it the amazing curry dishes that his mother would lovingly prepare daily, or the homemade turmeric paste she would apply to his boyhood cuts and scrapes. The recollection of this tradition shed illumination when his daughter, Shaina, complained of exercise induced inflammation. Shaina had a passion for sports and was a four-year letter winner in Basketball at UCLA, where she earned her degree before beginning her Professional Athletic Career in Germany. But all the playing took a toll on her body and she was not happy that in order to ease her pain and stiffness, she had to rely on conventional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, which can cause irritation of the stomach and other harmful effects on the body.

It all came together when Nasir was approached by his neighbor who was diagnosed with cancer and was a believer of the growing trend that turmeric could help in the reduction of cancer cells. But she would have to eat a large quantity of Indian food to achieve the health benefits of turmeric. So it made them think, "why can't there be an easier, low-calorie way to get turmeric's known healing powers into your daily diet?" It came to them- Turmeric Infused water. They began experimenting with ways to eliminate the bitter taste of turmeric and establish curcumin potency. Hundreds of gallons later, they took their recipe to, and joined forces with a world-renown food chemist and arrived at the cutting edge formulation of Tu Me Water.
