Phyllis Helene Announces Publication of Latest Stage Play

Phyllis Helene, CEO of 'A Book is Your Best Friend', launches latest in a series of stage plays dealing with social issues.

2013-05-13
FORT WASHINGTON, MD, May 13, 2013 (Press-News.org) Online bookstore A Book is Your Best Friend Independent Publishing LLC is pleased to announce publication of its latest stage play, Don't Lose Your Head. A Book is Your Best Friend will present a number of dramatic plays, each dealing with a pertinent social issue.

"Our latest play, Don't Lose Your Head, deals with teen drinking and driving," says CEO and playwright Phyllis Helene. "Our plays primarily target people in their late teens and early twenties, their parents, high-school counselors, educators and youth alcohol rehabilitation programs. College theater and English literature departments may also use them. The plays deal with different social issues and examine the choices young people face and the consequences of those choices. Our motto is 'Responsibility, Accountability and Choice'."

Helene is the writer of the 'Raising Consciousness' stage play collection; far more than just family dramas, the plays are educational, helping young men and women to be aware of their choices and raising consciousness about social issues. Don't Lose Your Head is an intensely emotional drama that takes its audience on a roller coaster of emotions as it explores how lives can be changed forever in just a few minutes. It depicts the story of a family trying to survive the emotional residue left from the tragedy that occurred due to teen drinking and driving. More plays are slated for release in June 2013; titles include: Judged - By the Company You Keep and Greatness is Determined by Your Goodness.

Helene is a certified life coach and a neuro-linguistic programming master practitioner. Her plays include a questionnaire designed to provoke dialogue between educators and students and help young people learn from the lessons provided in the plays. Additionally, Helene has promotional books available for interested journalists.

Don't Lose Your Head can be downloaded from abookisyourbestfriend.org for $10; a trailer can be viewed at www.mentoringarts.org.
