WAKEFIELD, RI, May 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) ChartWise Medical Systems, Inc. (www.chartwisemed.com), an innovative Computer-Assisted Clinical Documentation Improvement (CACDI) software company, will exhibit its groundbreaking software product, ChartWise:CDI, this May at the Sixth Annual ACDIS Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.
ChartWise founder and CEO Dr. Jon Elion will deliver a presentation at ACDIS on the topic of CDI and Quality entitled, "Ethical Practices in Clinical Documentation Improvement." Dr. Elion will examine the AHIMA and ACDIS ethical standards for CDI and weave their points together with stories, anecdotes, news reports, interactive dialogues, and hypothetical situations. The presentation will also include original music written, composed and performed by Dr. Elion specifically for the event. This session will take place from 3:15pm to 4:15pm EST on Tuesday, May 21.
"My aim is to engender an active and participatory atmosphere that will in turn lead to a collaborative, stimulating discussion of CDI," said Dr. Elion. "When examined from all sides, even apparently simple issues turn out not to be so black-and-white. I want to provoke honest discussion that goes beyond the usual talking points and leads to an examination of these topics from different angles."
ChartWise's innovative CACDI software will be demonstrated at ACDIS in booth #1116. ChartWise:CDI is a web-based software program with built-in expertise to help physicians, coders and HIM specialists to optimize DRG-related reimbursements, reduce audit risk, and improve oversight and compliance. The software features built-in expertise, a flexible workflow, robust on-demand multi-level reporting, and industry-leading data security. ChartWise is designed to mitigate risk, optimize reimbursement, and gain insight into their documentation improvement efforts.
The sixth edition of the ACDIS Conference is slated to feature more sessions than in any previous year. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how to measure a facility's level of risk and overall readiness for ICD-10. Those present will also learn how to strengthen their medical records from audit and increase the effectiveness of their CDI program as a whole. Sessions on subjects like encephalopathy, malnutrition, CHF, and acute coronary syndrome will serve to deepen the understanding of pathophysiology and open up new query opportunities. The Sixth Annual ACDIS Conference will take place May 21-23 at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.
