PHILADELPHIA, PA, May 16, 2013 (Press-News.org) Caroline Tobin Denver CO real estate professional, understands that many Americans are hesitant to close on a house after seeing the immense damage that the recession caused on the economy over the last few years. Despite this, though, Tobin asserts that the housing market is on the upswing and that now is the time for individuals to purchase new homes. In a press statement, Tobin calls attention to the growth of the industry as put forth by an article published by Forbes.
According to the article, "[...] unlike the painful post-bubble home buying seasons of the past several years, this year has kicked off amidst a cornucopia of experts trumpeting the U.S. housing market's recovery. Inventory is at record lows, home prices are on the upswing and foreclosure activity has ebbed in many parts of the country. In 2012 residential real estate contributed its first positive year of gains to the overall economy since 2005, and the Federal Reserve has repeatedly called housing a 'bright spot' of the economy."
The article goes on to report that, according to a survey conducted by Prudential Real Estate, 69 percent of individuals are considering investing in a new home. Additionally, a survey released by Fannie Mae reports that 48 percent of individuals expect that home prices will increase over the next 12 months. Given these statistics, Tobin asserts that it is time for hesitant homebuyers to make a move.
"I am really excited about the prospects for home sales in Denver during the rest of 2013," asserts Caroline Tobin, Denver, CO real estate professional. "I am expecting it to be a wonderful year for our clients!"
The year is anticipated to be a good one for both buyers, who can invest more confidently after years of an unstable housing market, and sellers, who are believed to have the upper hand in this spring's negotiations. With low inventories and increased competition, Tobin expects that many sellers will have multiple offers on their homes--something that was almost unheard of just a few years ago.
A circumstance that will benefit all parties involved is the fact that foreclosures have reduced in number. The article explains: "The good news for housing as a whole is that nationally foreclosure activity is falling."
Caroline Tobin, Denver, CO real estate professional, looks forward to what 2013 has in store for homebuyers and sellers and is eager to assist all of her clients in achieving their real estate goals.
