Additionally, a survey released by Fannie Mae reports that 48 percent of individuals expect that home prices will increase over the next 12 months. Given these statistics, Tobin asserts that it is time for hesitant homebuyers to make a move.

The year is anticipated to be a good one for both buyers, who can invest more confidently after years of an unstable housing market, and sellers, who are believed to have the upper hand in this spring's negotiations.
