RALEIGH, NC, May 17, 2013 (Press-News.org) Lana Calloway, CEO of Exhibit Resources, a full-service exhibit design and production agency, announced the company's solar panel installation process is underway. Exhibit Resources is working with Argand Energy Solutions to create the opportunity for quality renewable energy solutions. Installation began on Wednesday, April 17.
The photovoltaic (PV) system will be mounted on the roof of Exhibit Resources to produce approximately 598,300 kWh of AC power and eliminate 930,600 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions per year. The electricity generated by the panels will be metered and supplied to the grid through Duke Energy's distribution system through 2028 and beyond. After twenty years, Exhibit Resources will have the option of full ownership and use of the PV system to power their building.
"While attending a B Corp meeting, my interest was peaked as we discussed the benefits and paybacks of solar power," said Calloway. "We perceive the solar panels as a positive return on our investment, as well as a reflection of Exhibit Resources commitment to sustainability."
Argand's VP of Sales, Rob Lease commented, "Exhibit Resources' building infrastructure and roof orientation provided for an ideal host site. They have shown a strong commitment toward creating jobs and environmental stewardship by participating in our efforts to develop commercial solar energy installations in North Carolina. The combination of a well suited host site and high interest in renewable energy resulted in a rewarding partnership."
