Career Step to Exhibit at 2013 Amerinet Member Conference May 19-22

Career Step will be exhibiting at the 2013 Amerinet Member Conference, providing information on The ICD-10 Solution in booth 819.

2013-05-17
PROVO, UT, May 17, 2013 (Press-News.org) Career Step, an online education company and Amerinet supplier, will be exhibiting at the 2013 Amerinet Member Conference being held May 19 through 22 in Orlando, Florida. As an exhibitor, Career Step will be providing information on The ICD-10 Solution in booth 819.

"Because I was able to trial some of The ICD-10 Solution modules, I can say, first-hand, that the course content is absolutely fantastic!" said Anne Mitchell, Senior Director of Quality and Patient Safety at Amerinet. "We are so excited about increasing our membership's awareness of these critical courses by adding them to our ICD-10 Tool Kit. With less than 16 months remaining before the mandated deadline, we are well aware of the need for our members to make sure their training is preparing them for accuracy with minimal losses in productivity."

As an Amerinet supplier under agreement AS10173, Career Step's ICD-10 education products will be the focus of the company's attendance at the upcoming conference. The ICD-10 Solution, co-developed by Career Step and YES HIM Consulting, Inc., offers a comprehensive education approach that includes assessments, biomedical sciences education and ICD-10-CM/PCS code set education as well as workshops and seminars.

The ICD-10 Solution assessments evaluate coders' knowledge levels both prior to and after training to identify specific educational needs. The biomedical sciences education—in medical terminology, anatomy, pathophysiology, and pharmacology—has been built with a specific ICD-10 focus and is critical to ensure coders' preparedness for code set training. The ICD-10-CM/PCS code set courses teach the new ICD-10 concepts in a phased approach that begins at a basic level and works through intermediate exercises to advanced scenarios where coders can apply the new concepts and codes. The workshop and seminars provide training for support staff and others who require less intense ICD-10 training but must still be aware of the changes, values and risks associated with the transition.

For more information on the ICD-10 training available from Career Step, visit booth 819 at the 2013 Amerinet Member Conference. More information can also be obtained by visiting CareerStep.com/icd-10 or calling 1-800-989-7512.
