New Young Adult Novel Deals with Tough Issues: jerjonji Releases Her Second book, Four Winds

One fails, one runs away, one rejects his future, and one maintains hope even when it is hopeless. Alone, they are too weak to fight the demons they face, but together, there is a small chance of survival- if they can trust each other long enough.

2013-05-22
MARBLE, NC, May 22, 2013 (Press-News.org) On May 24, 2013, Word Branch Publishing will release young adult author jerjonji's second novel, Four Winds. Coming on the heels of her highly acclaimed Panda Girl in 2012, Four Winds promises to be another success with adults, teens and tweens.

In her second novel, jerjonji courageously addresses a difficult topic with great insight and sensitivity. She leads the reader into the lives of four characters haunted by nightmarish childhoods. We follow these characters as young adults, discovering the strange and often dangerous alliances they make, not only for survival, but for a sense of family.

jerjonji is the alter ego of Jeri Maynard, a writer/educator currently living in Dayton, Ohio. She started writing seriously for a class of fifth grade troublemakers, and she still writes with them in mind today. jerjonji writes the kinds of books that kids that don't read can't put down- books that include difficult topics that her kids said most writers ignored. She tells stories about people who feel so real that you think you see them on the street or sitting at McDonald's, people who aren't perfect and who have real problems in their life, people like you and her and that class full of troublemaking fifth graders.

Four Winds is published by Word Branch Publishing, and is available in e-book and paperback format.

Word Branch Publishing is an independent publisher located in North Carolina. Specializing in working with new and emerging authors, WBP offers readers quality reading in a variety of genres including science fiction, fantasy, spiritual, and young adult.
