SimplyCast Excited to Announce Next Star Internship Students

SimplyCast has selected the high school students who will be joining the team for paid internships. The Next Star internships are set to begin for the first time in July of this year.

2013-05-29
DARTMOUTH, NS, May 29, 2013 (Press-News.org) SimplyCast a global leader in multi-channel marketing Platform-as-a-Service solutions, is pleased to announce that four high school students have been hired for paid internships as part of the unique Next Star Program.

The process for the Next Star Employee initiative, a paid internship program for high school students which is the only one of its kind in Canada, began in March. The program is intended to promote the development of future leaders in Nova Scotia, while giving students the opportunity to grow their skills and share their talent.

The SimplyCast team has spent weeks sifting through resumes and submissions, and four students have been selected: Mathew Kallada of Sir John A. Macdonald High School, Sam Doiron of CP Allen High School, Jacob Simmons of Halifax West High School and Michaelangelo Jong of Halifax West High School.

"These students are very bright new stars, and we are happy to have them joining us," said Saeed El-Darahali, president and CEO of SimplyCast. "The pool of young talent in Nova Scotia is phenomenal and we want to help promote these students as they begin their educational journey."

It has been a difficult task to select only a few applicants. From under 100 students, it had to be narrowed down to three. However, the team had to make room for a fourth student after being unable to eliminate any of the four due to their high level of passion and unique skills.

"We would like to sincerely thank all the students who applied," said Isiah Wint-Rose, SimplyCast's Next Star Ambassador. "We were not surprised at the amount and depth of young talent and we are honoured that so many students applied to join the team."

Everyone at SimplyCast is looking forward to having the students as part of the team. Their paid internships will provide a mutual learning opportunity for the current SimplyCast staff and for the leaders of tomorrow.

SimplyCast is now accepting submissions for 2014 Next Star internships. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2014. To learn more about the Next Star Employee program please visit: http://www.simplycast.com/nextstaremployee/
